Right before Michael's birthday, I made the plunge and navigated my first "Willhaben" transactions. Willhaben is the Austrian version of Craig's List website (buy/sell used articles). I was able to find some nice toys from some sellers who live close by.
Legos have been a big hit with Michael as he greatly enjoys building things.
I found this wonderful toy for Dominic which Michael tries to swing on...
...and often likes to squeeze under it with his brother.
Dominic is always keeping an eye out for Michael and likes watching his movements.
We have been working on the virtue of sharing and Michael is doing well and will often bring toys to Dominic's side saying, "Share. Toys. Dominic." Of course, when Dominic is old enough to choose toys, this will be a different story. ;)
Dominic has been displaying some good coordination and brings things to his mouth to inspect.

Despite having some new toys around, I'm glad to see imaginative play still occurring. Michael asks me to sing 'Little Drummer Boy' while he plays his"drum".

Michael's friend Therese often knocks on his window and comes in to play for a bit and despite the 3 year age difference, they get along famously.
Dominic has friends too! This is little Tavi Biffert from Canada.
The ITI had a big St. Patrick's Day celebration last weekend. I made several loaves of Irish soda bread the day before.

We all gathered for a hearty Irish stew and beer and the wearin' of the green.
Michael sported his wool hat from Ireland - we are still lovin' it, Uncle Chris and Auntie Mary!
Some students got up intermittently throughout dinner to play or dance. Here is Brother Evagrius from Norica, Italy playing the tin whistle - he was great and got an encore!

We have had some lovely springtime weather this past week! Yesterday afternoon, I took the boys on the train to Laxenburg to visit the palace park there. Regina, one of our favorite babysitters, accompanied us. We enjoyed the blue sky, soft green grass and blossoming trees.
So nice to have a helper along to run after Michael.

We indulged in a small beer and some chocolate ice cream on the cafe terrace overlooking the lake before heading back to the train station.
So happy the warmer weather and more consistent sunshine is here! Looking forward to more outdoor adventures this spring and summer...
